If you haven't already, you will soon start to see QR codes everywhere. Although they've been around for a while already, in the past month I've seen more-and-more of them popping up in day-to-day life. For instance, last week, I noticed one on the back of a real estate agents sign in front of a house they had listed for sale. I didn't get a chance to use the code, but I'm sure it took the user to a page that outlined the details of the listing.
If your unfamiliar with these new darlings of advertisers everywhere, you might want to get familiar with them for two reasons:
1. You're going to see them a lot in the future.
2. You're going to see a lot of people use them badly (which has already started to happen).
Here's an article on CNN about the codes, what they are and tips on how to use them as a user and as an advertiser.
